New Rubik's Record

I'm sure you've all heard about the new Rubik's cube record that was set over the weekend.

Incredible right? This announcement took me back to the only time I have ever completed a Rubik's cube. I was 9 years old. I got a mini-rubik's cube in my Christmas stocking. I tried it for about half an hour, got frustrated, then hid in my closet with a Flash light and removed each and every sticker. I placed the stickers on in all the right places.

I then ran out to my mom and said "Mom! I finished the Rubik's cube!". She of course thought I was a child prodigy. She made me take the cube to my Grandma's that day and told every single soul about how I was able to solve it in only 35 minutes or so. As people asked to see the cube, I noticed that some of the stickers weren't on straight. One was about to fall off.

I learned a valuable lesson that day. Rubik's cubes do nothing but drag you down. I've never played one since
