Why's everybody being so nice to me?
Customer service folks are usually pains in the neck. I hate calling them. I hate talking to them. I hate them. I hate their faces.
Right now we are in the process of moving, and all the utility people I have called have been SO nice. Like weird nice. The lady at the cable company told me "Congratulations! Are you excited?" and went on and on about moving. The guy at the power company was so friendly I wanted to invite him over for dinner. The lady at the mortgage company told me she would double check to make sure everything went through right, then she actually called me the next day and told me it had.
So what's up? Why is everyone so happy? Is it because Spring is here?
I don't know man- it's creeping me out.

Damn- I was trying to escape without you knowing. Forgot you read my blog.
Did you make the silly mistake of being nice first? Haven't you heard that crap about doing unto others as you would want them to do unto you or some such nonsense? Well clearly you have been too nice on these occasions. If it creeps you out when service people are nice, you should start your conversation out with them with something like "Who the hell is this", or "Hurry it up Bozo". things like that.
