I've never been in a band

I've always wanted to play in a band, but have never actually done it. No doubt I'll be one of those 60 year old guys who tries to start up a band after they retire. We'll dress like teenagers, pierce our noses and hit on all the 19 year olds who sneak into the bar to see us play. Our music will either be too hip or too out of touch and this will vary from song to song. We'll follow a mad rendition of "get down with the sickness" with HoJo's "Whoa Whoa Whoa" song. Actually by the time I am 60 we'll probably be wearing silver suits and hover boots and music won't be heard it will be felt.

On a lighter note I did once write and produce a song that swept the nation as one of the best things ever heard online. You may remember it but you probably did not know I wrote it. The year was 1999, and the song was "Robot Monkey". I called my "band" the Salad Eatin' Suckas.

Interestingly enough, I found my little band still on a few websites:

Well without further ado I present to you for your listening pleasure: Robot Monkey

All I have to say is I can't believe you didn't start up a band with this song. It's truly awesome. You could be out there making millions right now, but instead you are writing this blog. It's kind of sad really.

Maybe you should show up to the KEUD thingy with a boombox and this song blaring from it. On top of the other things you were going to be doing anyway, I mean. And you should sing along to it. Loud and off tune. I think it'll really help the audience relate to you better, thus making them side with you on all your points. Thus, winning over the greater portion of the Salt Lake valley taxpayers. Thus...being awesome and a leader and ruler of men.
