Red box

Ever heard of RedBox? It's that DVD vending machine that is outside of McDonald's. I've always thought it was a crazy idea and have never even thought of trying it. But apparently they have been giving out codes for 4 free rentals a month since October. Now that got me interested so I did a little research.

These machines have around 50 total videos that span the genres. You can see current titles offered here. No membership is required. You swipe your credit card and pay $1 per night that you have the video. This means there are no late fees. Just another $1 if you forget to bring it back. When you are done you can drop it off at ANY red box. Not just the one at the McDonalds you rented it from. Sounds kind of cool.

And hey- with these codes the first night is free. So as long as you return it by the next day, you pay nothing. I'm going to try it out. Here are the free codes if you want to try it too:
